Hello. My name is Mark Parsons. I'm a computer technician based in Brantford, Ontario, Canada. I repair computers, help people with technology, and have been doing this for a long time.
I've been running Linux since 1995, back when I started with Slackware on floppy disks—color.gz and bare.i. That's how long this has been part of my life.
I'm proud to have two nephews who I consider the best nephews in the entire world. They mean everything to me.
Welcome to my corner of the web. This site is built in the spirit of the Windows 95 era—the same era that shaped how I think about computers.
It all started with the Atari 800XL. That was my first computer system. I still think about it. It was an incredible machine for its time.
From there, everything grew. I've spent decades working with machines, fixing them, understanding them, and helping other people understand them too.
I repair computers. I help people with technology. I sit down with folks and figure things out together, step by step, without making anyone feel bad about asking questions.

My first video game system was the Atari 2600. Those cartridges, those menus, the static when you turned it on—that was magic.
When I'm not behind a computer, I love to play darts and all forms of pool. There's something about the focus that both games demand that I really enjoy.
I have two nephews who I consider the best nephews in the entire world. I'm proud of them and I'm always happy to talk about them.
